Three years ago, when she graduated from the University of Louisville with a degree in psychology, Ginny Pittenger had no idea her path would lead to one of Louisville’s most successful establishments, O’Shea’s and O’Shea’s Family of Pubs which include Flanagan’s and Brendan’s, as well.
Now, after working for the well known Irish pub at 956 Baxter Avenue for more than two years, she feels right at home. In fact, she’s become such a respected part of the business that they have entrusted her to run their new catering operation.
Ginny emphatically lets everyone know that O’Shea’s is now a player in Louisville for hosting any and all events.

“People think of us (O’Shea’s) as just an Irish pub, but now we host wedding receptions, kid’s parties, bachelor and bachelorette parties…almost anything!”
She says that what sets them apart from other caterers and banquet halls is the casual, relaxed feeling of the establishment. If you want marble and crystal, O’Shea’s may not be your place. But, if you want beautiful wood decor with an earthy feel, an incredible open-air patio that can serve up to 200 people plus, and a level of hands-on service and hospitality from “Louisville’s hardest working staff,” then you’ll feel right at home here.
O’Shea’s new catering venture may be Louisville’s best kept secret for now, but it won’t be for long. Ginny says they’re already have many weddings booked, among other events.
If you’re looking for a new experience for a party or celebration, give O’Shea’s a call and have Ginny book your next event. (502) 589-7373.
